"Spotlight On" Display
Our "Spotlight On" Display has been popular. Last week we featured Lone Wolf by Jodi Picoult and this week we have Bring Up the Bodies by Hilary Mantel. One of our staff members picked these titles because she liked them and she could get ten copies quite easily. They have been going out quickly. The display has been also been useful when a patron asks for a suggestion of something they should read.

Are the "Spotlight On" staff picks or can you use ones you haven't read?

DeleteAre you having any difficulty in identifying titles to spotlight?
ReplyDeleteWe wrote a report for library staff running book clubs that lists titles meeting keywords (Mystery, for example) that have at least 10 copies on the shelf throughout the province.
You could also use the same report to suggest titles that have enough copies available to spotlight.
